In this tutorial we will learn how to manipulate different
images to create a magical lady in the jungle manipulation photo.
Final Image
I will be using the following stock Images,
I downloaded this images from Google, girl and bird
images are on png format which means they have already been extracted from the
background. Using PNG images saves time that might have been used to remove the
background.
We are going to use several Photoshop techniques including
dodge and burn tools, color balance, color fill, lens flare etc.
Am going to open my background Image (JUNGLE), this
background image already has some effects therefore am going to apply very
little effects on this tutorial, Then I will open model image and drag the
image on top of the background image and this will create a new layer and will
rename it Lady.
Since my tutorial only involves three stock images and bird’s
image does not need any changes, I will need to balance the model color and the
background jungle color, so that they can blend together
To open color Balance, simply go to IMAGE – ADJUSTMENTS-
COLOR BALANCE
I will use the following settings but you can play with CYAN,
YELLOW and Magenta until you get desired output. Clicking on preserve
Luminosity will add darkness on your image in this case I will uncheck it
You will be having three layers now, background, lady and
color balance layer
Create a new layer just on top of model layer and fill it
with 50% GREY and change blending mode to Overlay, then grad Burn and dodge
tool and start painting on you model till you achieve desired results
This Is what I have after applying dodge, burn effect and Color balance
Open a new layer on top of all layers and name is color or anything you desire
Select soft brush tool and I start paint on the trees using
different colors, to change color simply click of foreground color icon and
color pixel will pop up. Once done change foreground color to default (black)

Go to Filter – Blur – Gaussian Blur, I will sex radius to 191.7
Pixels
I will be adding Lens Flare to make my image more dramatic
Add new layer and fill it will 50% grey and
change mode to Overlay, then go to Filter – Render – Lens Flare , am going to
use 50-300mm ZOOM then click OK.
Lastly I will add new adjustment layer Fotor Filter and I will
use the following setting
